Company

We fund with our own money.

That one fact decides almost everything else about how this works: what we ask for, what we tell you, and why we would rather say no clearly than yes vaguely.

What we are

Our money.
No middleman.

We fund brands with our own money. We do not put you in front of a panel of lenders, we do not take a commission for introducing you to anyone, and there is nobody else whose mood decides your answer.

MarginLabs is a trading name of [LEGAL ENTITY TBC],
company number [COMPANY NUMBER TBC].

01
Nobody's paid to steer youThere's no introducer fee, so nothing is nudging us toward one answer. If the honest answer is a smaller amount, that's the one you get.
02
We keep the riskWe don't sell it on. A funder that lives with the outcome looks at your business very differently from one that doesn't.
03
A no comes with a reasonAnd if it's something you can fix, we'd much rather tell you and see you again in six months.
How we decide

What actually happened,
not what you tell us.

Most lending decisions rest on a pack you put together about yourself. Ours starts with records you do not control. Where the two disagree, we ask you about it.

Is the company real?

We ask the state registry directly, rather than searching the news. Does it exist, is it in good standing, is anything filed against it.

Your bank

Six months at least, read-only. Who pays you and how often tells us more about your business than anything else, and it is the one thing that cannot be dressed up.

Your shopfront

Your site, your storefronts, your reviews. A quick check that the business on paper is the one actually trading in public.

Where your money comes from

Direct, shops, marketplaces, or a named mix of them. Worked out from who actually paid you, and it decides which funding fits.

Funding you're already repaying

Who else is taking a slice of the same sales. More sensible-looking deals go wrong on this than on anything else.

Whether it adds up

We check statements against their own running balances. Anything that doesn't add up is caught long before a person reads it.

Machine and human

Read by machine.
Decided by a person.

The reading is automatic and takes about six minutes. What comes out is a picture rather than a decision. No money moves on a machine's say-so. A person reviews every application, and a thin or contradictory picture gets a closer look, not a guess.

What the six minutes produces
  • What kind of business this is, from who's been paying it
  • Which of our five products fit you, in order
  • Whether the company is real and in good standing
  • Funding you're already repaying out of the same sales
  • Whether what you sent us adds up
  • Anywhere your answers and your bank tell different stories
  • What we couldn't check, and what would fix it
